About Me
I began my journey into enlightment in Feb 09. I am learning as much as I can about wicca and am in the process of prepairing for a dedication ceremony. I have been interested in Wicca from the time I was a teen-ager. I did not act on the feeling of interest due to my Catholic upbringing - made me believe that witchcraft or wicca was the work of evil. At the age of 37, I still felt like something was missing from my life and it was time to do something to make me spiritually happy.
I have wonderful friends that completely understand and accept my spiritual beliefs but I have not told immediate family, One day it will just come out when the time is right. I have one friend that is a solitary witch and we get together form time to time. My other half completely supports my spiritual decision and has some wonderful abilities in that same arena himself. He was born with a half vail and healing abilities.
As I am learning, one of the things that has happened to me as I read and learn about rituals and practices, I tend to have the answer to the process before I finish reading it. Its like knowing the answer to a question and never studied for the test. It just feels very natural. When I first read about grounding and charging, it felt so right that I began to cry after I tried it. I have also been reading and learning the tarot. I am still learning but am begining to feel very comfortable. Sometimes when days go by without a daily self reading, its like they are calling me. When I pick up the cards I can feel my fingers tingling. So far it has been a wonderful experience and am walking slowly through the learning experience to absorb as much as possible. I have done some meditating and am going to increase this practice along with daily devotions, and grounding and charging practice.
I am looking to learn as much as I can and enjoy reading on-line about others experiences. Simply because its not as though we can go down to the neighborhood church and be in the presence of like-minded peers. Post a Comment7 Comments
Wow, your history is much the same as mine, minus the Catholic upbringing...so nice to know others have started this journey later in life...lol not like we are old
Merry meet,
I started studying properly in feb 09. I was told wicca was evil, but I did some research and I think it's one of the most beautiful things in the world. Blessed be, Angel |
