Hello to every member of this site. I am very, very new to Wicca and was wondering if anybody could provide me with some advice please? I am finding it very hard to visualise images in my head. If I focus on an object for 5 minutes and close my eyes to see it, all I can see is a whole host of colours - or something else completely different. I have tried various simple objects but I am still struggling. Please could somebody suggest ways of improving visualisation as I would like to meet my inner guide. Thanks

Sit in a quite place, and start with your eyes closed. Think of simple shapes then slowly advance to more complex shapes. When you get a handle on shapes then start to visualise the object you wish to see. I hope I helped you at all.

Hi there i just wanted to point out something. Viualisaation is great, but if you are trying to use manifestation it is very difficult and best learned with a coven or instructor. I am Wiccan and have been so for quite some years now, and i just thought you should know that. Alot of people dont even really see shapes when using visualisation. They see the complex mirage that makes up the item itself. If you are seeing a haze of colors try to focus on the color that the object is. You will then see what colors make up the color you focused on till you make it all the way to the basic color. In which you can divide no more. This is the first and easiest step to manifestation. I suggest starting Visualisation with an apple. It was my first stepping stone i hope it works for you.

Hm, maybe a little side advice could help if it's hard for you to just pop random shapes into your head. I often find that watching something doesn't really help me visualise it but if you've tried your hand at writing, describing things in your head or out loud make for very vivid visuals, and chants like music usually help concentrating as well.

For me, I can never visualize anything by looking at it. I have to hold it, and feel it's energies. Once I have an understanding, I put it down, and I can focus on it wherever I go, but it's energies are in me, and it's a part of me. Don't know if that helps.
