Me and my friend want to do a ritual to ask that my parents accept my Wiccan path that I have choosen. Do you think it is wrong? Am I bending their own free will? Is this against the threefold law?

Thanks

-Rach

You could do one asking for guidence of how to explain it to them and put their minds at ease.

I don't think you should do a ritual. Your parents should except it because it's what you believe but, if you really feel that it is the right thing to do then I agree with felicia.

I'd have to agree to Felicia and Angel here.  Screwing with someone's free will is not a good thing to do.

yes, don't do anything that will control or affect them free will wise. remember the threefold law "what ye send forth comes back to ye, so ever mind the law of three" basically if you influence someones will then it will come back to bite you later. in this case i would say (although no one can say for sure) that it would probally just make the situation worse.

I suppose under the curcumstances (I apologise for my poor spelling) if you truly wanted to do a ritual I would ask them to participate. As far as I am concearned, giving them the choice to do it or not would not break the threefold law.

However! I strongly suggest not doing a ritual. If they are already afraid of the religion then showing them it's power may not be waht they want to hear. Try to tell them something more along these lines "This is who I am and what I believe. It is your choice whether to like it or not, but it will always be what I believe". Then afterward attemt to correct their misconception. However, I would not do this in a forceful way, more to say "We believe so, and so as a aposed to yada yada".
