Thanks ive got this one question currently, what is the wiccan name for, is it site related or just a wiccan thing?

you want to know what  wicca name is? It is a name you use during most rituals, I mean my wicca name is totally different from my original name except the numberology of the first name matches my birth-certificate name. Is that what you were asking?

the wiccan name in my opinion is a refelection of  yourself  ive just found mine and i realised id had it with me for a while, many people offered me guidance to help find mine and i think the same advice will help you too. hope you find your answers.

Yes, think of it as your spiritual name, or 'true' name. Something that states who you are. And you can flaunt it or keep it secret for use only in rituals and to yourself. It's a really personal thing.

Wiccan names are popular, often given to you by the divine or through meditation, research, or other such means. It's sort of symbolic of your identity as a spiritual person, something you chose for yourself and is a special link to you. It's a matter of personal preference for most people - I have 'public' wiccan names I use when speaking to other Pagans for privacy, and I have a special name for within the circle that I keep between myself and the divine. You can pick whatever suits you, many choose not to adopt a name.

merry meet! and yes it is very special to you. i found mine through meditation. mine is Faeris and through books i have found that i like the name "Fay" and i love fire and the "is" comes from Isis since i worship her as my Goddess.

My name suddenly came to me, after searching myself for ages.

Jet is the gemstone I share affinity with and Moonlight is my other affinity.

I changed the spelling of "light" to "lite" for numeroligal reasons, which is something else you can look at if that feels right.

merry meet to you and I am starting to see that people have slitly and majorly different ways of finding their different names.

I have no idea why I spelt "numerological" like that by the way! lol

Names are symbolic of ourselves, so they should differ entirely. Choosing or recieving a new name excites us because it is a symbol of our identity, and a gateway between worlds. If we chose our names all the same way, that feeling of identity would be incomplete. That's why names are so personal, you have to do what suits you.

Here are ideas for getting started, but feel free to come up with your own.

-make lists of all things, words, and ideas that have meaning to you

-look up names and words in languages you like

-think about all the paths that inspire you

-Think about names relating to nature, plants, crystals, seasons, or the craft

-Meditate on it

-Ask to recieve a dream on it

-Do a pathworking on it

-Talk to totems or spirit guides

-Use numberology or astrology to find what things correspond to your name

Or whatever else seems right.
