Magic is more of a lifestyle than anything else. It's a way of living, thinking, and percieving the world. The power of magic is largely based in thought and spirituality. Everyone has a spirituality, even if you do not follow a religion. As for diving into content, there is a rather good comparison I have heard of about how learning magic is like music. You need to start off with an instrument, and learn how to care for and use it. Listen intently, learn the skills of the tool, and follow your instinct on how it should resonate. Then you begin learning notes, tabs, cords, music symbols, and whatever else you are likely to come across. You need to understand and respect the meaning of each one and know how it is used. Only then, do you begin your most basic tune. And you'll probably practice it over and over. Eventually, after practice and learning, you will understand music. You will be able to read, write, and play music, though you will still actively need to practice the material from before. In keeping with the metaphor, giving you spells at this stage would be a lot like dumping symphony music sheets onto your lap. At the very best, you would misunderstand things and not know them, and rush yourself into a mess. Hopefully, you would turn around and go back to the starting point.
That said, the first step is to learn about yourself, then the components of magic, and get a little taste of the direction you want to head into. Maybe you want to go over solitary magic, maybe coven magic. Perhaps divination, healing, or a multitude of other things. Once you research these and find resources, then you can begin to practice magic in a formal way. Keep in mind, the power of thought is magic, so you have been using it all your life - now you're just trying to put it into external practice.
Though some spells are better for beginners, that doesn't mean beginners should dive into spellwork.
My suggestion is first do basic research - Wicca, Wiccan history, The Gods, The Elements... and so on. Then look into aspects that interest you. Be sure that no matter what you decide you liek to do, that you practice meditation and visualizing often as it will enhance whatever skill you persue. I would be happy to start you off.

No problem. You can probably find some good material in the books section or from browsing some of the site and forum pages.

Make sure you know a little about Gerald Garnder as well. Though he gives me the creeps, he did found what today is Wicca through ancient witchcraft practices, although it has evolved into several diferent branches since then.
