Hi, my name is ruan, but my wizard name is Bcool, the skilled mage. I am new to the magic world and want to learn everything i need to know about magic. I can use the help if you want. I learned about my magic powers from when i was 10 and then i made my dog magically appear out of nowhere.

Magic isn't really a hoccus-poccus (I have no idea how it's supposed to be spelled...) thing. As I always tell beginners, magic is like any other action, it's about applying yourself as best you can. The action of magic can't accomplish things that are impossible, magic is subject to it's own natural law, just like everything else in the universe. Magic powers aren't concentrated in one person, like any other skill, you may be talented in one area of magic and need to work hard and struggle in other areas, but we all have our gifts.

I'd be happy to answer specific questions, as I have been studying witchcraft for about 5 years and am always open to new learning, teaching, and discussions.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask, and welcome to RoseWicket! I hope to see you around in our forums.

You sound more like you are interested in becomming a magician than a witch. A common thing for beginners so have no worries. You will learn to find the magick, not neccesarily in yourself, but in the worl around you as well.

Here is a little excersise to show you (I can't find it in my book, so I'll go by memory)

Stand up straight with your feet shoulder-width apart.

Close your eyes and take a few breaths, with each breath feel the energy around you building.

Hold out your hands, palms together. Now visualize all that energy around you forming a ball in your palms. Let it grow, pushing your hands away from it, building it bigger. Take it slow and stay focused.

as you feel it expand, try pushing against it slightly. You will find that you can feel that energy as if it were a beach-ball.

When you are done, press the ball into your abdomen, absorbing all the energy, and feel all the acess enrgy flowing out of you and into the ground.

Now don't think of magic as something you'd find on the Disney channel. It's right here, right now, everywhere wou look.

And spellcasting, is not to bend the world to form to your liking. But to use the energies in the world (via. willpower and focussing the energy) to set things in motion in a desired way.

But before doing so, check the conflicts with the Rede and the Law of Three.

Your desires are not always in the best interest. Try starting out with some low-impact spells that will not affect anything on a large scale, like spells for having a god day, or even meditating.

Unfortunately I doubt that Magick had anything to do with your dog.

In time though, and a lot of practice, you will learn to use Magick as a tool. (Not to be confused with your 'tools of the trade' used to channel Magick.)

And yes, finding lost things can be achieved.

It was strong energy the ball had and the ground was so strong that my neighbors complained about a shake in the ground

Wow... dude. Seriously??

I have been Wiccan for... well, more years than I care to remember (as, sadly, I am quite a bit older than you) and I have never felt the ground shake quite like that - not when casting and drawing energy anyway... ;-)

Well, Star, it's summertime. That usually means kids with too much free time start to dabble and con themselves into stretching the truth. Some are honest and want to learn, others are not. Generally it's time rather than first impressions that tell. Sometimes I'm ashamed of my own age group. At least we're not getting the 'I'm a twilight vampire witch pureblood hybrid' crowd.

lol wow!! but it also depends on what your thoughts are when you are doing the act too and also how much energy you actually put into it. it's also where your emotions and heart lie and how well connected you are to things and well i could go on and on but there are alot of factors put into it.
