Natural Weed Killers

To get rid of weeds, just put some white vinegar in a spray bottle and spray on weeds.

Vinegar is acidic, which is why it can kill plants and mildew.

Boiling water works to,and apparently better then store bought weed killers. Make sure it is boiling up until the minute youput it on teh plants, though...or else it's just warm water...

Bleach will kill weeds, so put some in a spray bottle before use. However you must be careful not to combien the bleach method with the vinegar method, as it will cause harmful fumes. If you get some bleach on a plany you wanted to keep by mistake, wash the plant off. In about two days, you can plant new seeds in place of the old weeds.

A pinch of salt at the base of a plant will kill it, but withing a few days (if you have rainfall or you water the area) it will become diluted, so you can plant again. Or, to keep weeds from pokign through cracks in outdoor furnature, stepping stones, or your driveway, scatter salt all over the place.

Corn meal doesn’t really kill weeds, it just stops the weed seeds from ever developing. Corn Gluten is a pre-emergent, which is a fancy way of saying that is it is a seed birth-control. Corn meal scattered around an area will keep any seed in that area from growing into a plant. This means a weed seed or a desirable seed. This method is a good option for areas that you plan on planting grown plants in.

And, lastly, try covering the area so that the weeds don't get sun. A pile of newspaper at least 4 sheets thick for a few days should do it.

Natural Fertilizers

For fertilizer pack an open weave bag with leaves of comfrey and stinging nettles. Soak in rainwater (if you don't have that much you can use tap water) for a month. Strain the liquid and use as a rich feed for developing plants.

Or

Use comfrey leaves (not stems) as a compost or fertilizer. Fill a barrel or trash can about halfway with fresh comfrey, add water, cover it, and let steep 3 to 6 weeks. It smells foul but use it diluted to the color of week tea to water your plants.

Burrying fruit peels in the dirt is good too, as the nutrients break down and soak into the soil.

All sorts of Ecology websites/forums, and GreenWitchcraft forums have a lot of eco-friendly topics...

Also, if there is a local gardening shop in yoru area, you can ask about fertalizers or weed killers that don't use toxic chemicals, and just ask for the natural stuff.
