Merry Meet, I have a question for you guys, did you ever try going out of your body? I know it's not Wicca related topic, but it's somehting that I've done, even though till this day I still try to go out of my own body but no success yet. Everytime I try it. Different things starts to happen to me. Want to know?

1. I can see things out of the ordinary.

2. Always feeling so strong.

3. I feel negative and positive energy sometimes.

4. I run like I can't control my own feet (no lies)

5. I could hear voices calling me.

You guys might think i'm over reacting but believe me. I know that what I'm sayin is true.

Is it that I had this gifts way before O. B. E.?

 was I born with them and discovered them now?

What you guys think?

well, Delight, if you can will yourself into OBEs or astral projection, then you are very talented.

I myself have only been able to astral project as a child, and the experience is fuzzy. As I got older I forgot how to do it at will, and thus no matter how much I study it now the initial spark tends not to be there.

Are you interested in Lucid dreaming? I have heard it can work wonders for enhacing OBEs, and it can even be usefull in teaching one how to do so if they never have before. I myself am a Lucid dreamer-not as mystical as OBEs, but still amazing.

If I'm not mistaken I had one a few month's back it was wonderful.

Ever since I've been Astral projecting, my dreams are more vivid then before.

I even control my own dreams. Something that I never thought I would do.

Ohh! and now that you mentioned dreams. Do you know what it means to dream about somebody that you never met in person? but you've managed to see that person before somewhere. That'll be helpful if you have the answer.

Delite, dream interpretation is always tricky for other people to do, because there are personal meanings in everything you dream. For example, what does this person mean to you? Do they symbolize anything? Is there a quality you associate with them? Could they correspond to a certain point in your life? Do they remind you of someone you know in person? What are their distinctive qualities? Could they represent a feeling, a place, a language, a relationship, or the like?

These are all signs you subconcious mind could be communicating, and your subconcious mind is different from everyone elses- you might be missing something, or wanting something, or stressing about something...and your mind is using visual language to communicate with you... so your own judgement is your best bet.

If, on the other hand, you think the dream has any prophetic meaning, you might consider if they represent the above, and then think about in the dream, do you think this person meant the above things were comming to you, or going away? What effects happened as a result? And so on...

And then there's the simple explination...maybe you just think about this person a lot, or before you fell asleep. 

All are equally valid and possible. I wish I could tell you right away what it meant, but you know the details and implied meanings better then I.

I don't know as much as you guys, but  I have had something happen to me. It could be stress, it could be something else. You don't sound crazy (you hear what i say sometimes :wink:) . Go with whatever Chi says, She really knows what she is talking about!

I just wanted to add how the Dream was. And I still remember it like it was yesterday.

So, I dreamed about this girl, who is the person who I've seen before, but never talked to her nor knew her. The dream was that we were walking down a park that looked like the Central Park in New York. The only difference is that this park was more bigger, and it had little waterfalls. It was like you were in a another world or something. Anyway the girl and I walked right next to the little waterfalls, we set on the banch that was right next to it. Then we looked into each others eyes for a moment, then all of a sudden we kissed like there was no tomorrow. After that the girl got up and just ran with a smile on her face, then she disapeared. The wired part of this dream is that it was so vivid and so real that when I woke up, I felt that kiss and trust me, there was no one beside me when that happened. I felt my lips kissed and it was like beyond wonderful. Sorry if I bored you I just thought I could share it with you guys.

It's no bother to us at all, DeLite, we're a community, and we wouldn't function if we weren't free to share experiences with people.

I have recently learned that as I am falling asleep, I have the problem where I am half asleep and half awake and when I try to wake up I have a hard time, like something is holding me there.  I manage to wake up but it is using all my strength. I feel like I try to scream but can't. Sometimes as I am falling asleep I begin to dream and as i am still partially awake, I can't feel myself breath and I freak out. More recently I have learned that I possibly am about to have that "out of body" experience. I was told to just relax and let it happen.

So the other night, it started. I was falling asleep but yet still awake, I could hear the tv and feel the dog moving around on the bed. I relaxed and in the dream-state I saw myself sitting up and out of the corner of my eye I could see my body laying there. OMG - don't think I am crazy. Unfortunately, I freaked out and forced myself to wake up. I remember as i was sitting up, it felt like I really had something to do or somewhere to go. I had this energy and knew I had something important to do. I just don't remember or know what it was. After I woke up, I layed back down and told myself to go to sleep so I can get this work done - whatever it was. I fell asleep quickly.

This has been happening to me since I can remember. I was told at a young age that it is the devil riding you. I no longer believe that - or things like that. But for some reason it still scares me a little. I will keep practicing relaxing during this process and let you know what I discover.

I guess I will try again.

Just an FYI that could help me learn more from you guys, my family (mainly the women in the family) have prediction dreams of the future. Sometimes little family things, sometimes things on a global scale. My grandmother, mother, sister and myself have them. My sisters dreams are pretty accurate. Mine sometimes can't be put together - they don't always say exactly what is going to happen and only in retrospect does it make sence. My niece has a sleeping discorder where she sleeps so hard that she can't be woken up quickly - it is a process to wake her up. I told her that I believe she has these dreams but as a child they scared her so she drowns them out by sleeping hard. She recently told me that I was right and they scare her - so she tries not to remember them. I am gonna work with her to overcome her fear. I knew this as a teenager that my mom and g-ma had this so when they told me not to go somewhere or do something, I listened. I tell ya it has paid off many times.

To this day - one of my nephews are not allowed to travel in the state of Florida. My sister had a horrific dream of his death in Florida in his 20's. He knows he is not allowed.

I have had dreams about situations, like I am present during a situation and within the next few days the exact situation is on the news. My dreams however do not give detail so its not like I could prevent it from happening.

So I believe I need to relax during my out of body experience and possibly could be given more detail in those kind of states. I will keep trying.

Autumn, the idea of a "devil" riding one in their sleep when they have nightmares or sleep paralysis comes from a germanic belief just after Christianity settled. It was believed the evil spirits could capture the minds of someone when they slept, thus nightmares and SP were memories of helplessness.

I often have the dilemma of confusing pre OBE's with SP. Sleep paralysis is when you make your body fall asleep while keeping your mind awake. It's a scary thing when you can't control it, but once you know the science behind how your mind and dreams work it is an interesting state to go into. Sadly, I have not had an OBE since childhood, though Sleep Paralysis Induced Dreams are quite the adventure.

And I doubt I can learn it. Many people study it for their lifetime and never learn...and 95% of Astral Projection books are written by people who can't project, but have studied it. Maybe I can do it someday, but I won't force myself into it.

It can be scary when "in" it. I have had it all my life and notice that when I am very tired or stay up too late (mainly getting to sleep as the sun comes up) is when it almost occurs EVERY time. Yea, I don't believe in the devil riding or holding - I never really did. When I first was told that it didn't feel right and felt there had to be more to it. I have controlled these dreams sometimes when I can get my fear in check and start telling myself that I have control over this while "in" it. They only become scary when either I can't feel myself breathe or when the "dream" is frightening. I have even woke up and went right back to sleep only to be right back in the "dream" where I left off.

I guess the most scary was after I was told about the "devil holding" came a "dream" where I again could hear everything really going on around me, was completely consious in my mind and when I went into the dream state I was in my room, laying on the bed but could not move or speak with my eyes open. During this time a "devil" like figure walked around my bed looking at me with an evil snarl look - like he had control. I even saw my mom come in my bedroom, look at me while I was asleep smile and leave the room, turning off the tv and light. The devil thing looked at her too. I was freaking out! After my mom left the room I faught to wake myself up. Moments later I finally managed to wake using all of my might. When I woke up my tv and light were off. I asked my mom who turned my light and tv off she said that she did. I said, you came in and looked at me for a moment and smiled. She said yes and gave me a strange look.

I didn't sleep in my room for a week.

I feel disappointed when all of my experiences are scary or horrific. I try to keep my fear in check and try to control it. I wish I could have a good experience in this state. Maybe one day it will happen when I have improved my control.

I hope one day you will learn to or be give back your ability to OBE again. Ask for it back from the goddess. She may help you regain your ability. Sometimes just asking for what we need or want will help us fulfill our "dreams" - no pun intended.

Autumn, that sounds like an awful experience. I kind of know what you mean, when you half dream something that's real along with something that isn't, and it makes you believe the scariest things.

That reminds me, my younger sister has been having such problems. She claims to be seeing "spirits" or ghosts in her room. I'm usually a bit skeptic about these things, but we do live in the house where my Grandmotehr and Grandfather died...and I do believe I have felt my grandfathers presence before. My sister hasn't slept in her own room for months...and I respect her privacy too much to go into her room and do a cleansing or protection spell there. Plus, she is very perceptive, and it is a talent I would like to encourage, as long as she's happy. My parents finally made her sleep in her own room again, and she hasn;t mentioned problems. Thyough, I hope that means there aren't any rather then her keeping them to herself.

Hey Autumn Star-Storm? you have some interesting things happenin to you.

The devil thing was really scary though. Don't fear whatever is seeing you when you O.B.E. it won't heart you. I hope not. You could try fighting the monster if you wish. This is what I've learned by reading a book that I have of Astral Projection. Since you're not dead yet (sorry if I sound harsh) no matter what you see. Nothing can't heart you. They will pass right through you Even if they're spirits.

Few nights back I had a dream that I was on a beach. And I saw this beatiful gorgeos Faery. Ofcourse she shape shifted as a human, but her skin was so soft and sparkly.

And I swore I felt her touching me (No lie) I remember her sayin that she wanted me to be her King. In other words take me away and that's where I I freaked and woke up.

I remember telling you guys that I could see things way beyond this world, not all the time, but I do come across some strange things. I was reading a book when all of a sudden I saw this little shadowy human-like figure that flew across the house so fast.

That's when I saw a Faery (oh yea, they do exist) I saw that same figure two times. The second time I managed two see his/her wings flaps. They were transparent. And also the Faery at one point started to glow since I had my lights off. It glowed yellow.

And all that is because since I everyday kept practicing, O.B.E. I will myself to believe and see what I wanted to see. The only thing I haven't done yet is getting out of my body.

But I know I will soon as long as I keep myself practicing I'll be able to do a lot of things.

i can relate to this all the time i can project myself naturally whether i'm sleeping or not.  it's really cool yoiu just have to be very careful especially in yoiur sleep.
